Practice Policies
The following are some reminders for you and your swimmer to help make the first day(s) a success!
Practice Policies for Swimmers
- Arrive on time with needed equipment
- Be ready to listen and learn. The Pool and surrounding area is our classroom – We’re here to LEARN and have Fun!
- Come to practice with a goal in mind. Something that you want to improve on. Focus on this goal often.
-
When the coaches are giving instruction:
- Face the coach and stop talking
- Keep head above water and a hand on the wall
- Walk on the deck
- No diving in the shallow end
- No Horseplay: Keep your hands to yourself
Practice Policies for Parents
The pool is our instructional area. Please help us with a few items to ensure a safe and productive environment:
- The gate should remain locked. A key card will be attached to the gate, which can be swiped to allow entry.
- No one is allowed in the Baby Pool during practice hours.
- The only swimmers allowed in the water are the current training group.
- Swimmers that are 12 and Under need parent supervision at the pool. Please do not drop your swimmer to run errands without designating another responsible adult to watch your child.
- The Coaches’ primary concern is the group that is in the water. Please help to monitor the behavior of swimmers that are in the pool area.
- During practice, please keep interactions with the coaches brief. If you need to speak with the coaches for an extended period; call, email or text the coach.
