Highland Vista Athletic Club is proud to welcome swimmers of all abilities and level of experience. Please see minimum safety standards to be member of the Swim Team. 

For those younger swimmers not quite at this level, we offer a Pre-Team option.

Swimmers must:

• be 4-18 years of age as of June 1st
• demonstrate the ability to enter the water unaided
• be able to safely swim one length of the 25 meter pool (any stroke) by mid-May

Coaches will evaluate swimmers throughout the first week of practice to determine placement. If, during that time, the coaches determine that your swimmer is not quite ready to participate this year, coaches will contact the parents of the swimmer. 

Coach will inform the swimmer and parent if the swimmer should move to a different Athlete Group or Age Group after a 2-week observation peroid (scheduled for the first two weeks of practice). Swimmers may move Athlete or Age Group at any time during the season depending on skill and ability as evaluated and determined by the coaching staff.
